The REDOSE study includes both women and men living with HIV and involves two phases (REDOSE 1.0 and REDOSE 2.0). The following eligibility criteria is for REDOSE 1.0 which is currently enrolling men living with HIV.
You may be eligible for REDOSE 1.0 if you are:
a man living with HIV (19y or older);
able to communicate in English;
undetectable (viral load <40 copies/mL) at last blood draw;
on the same ARV regimen for at least two weeks;
able to attend a study visit

What does your participation entail?
Your visit will be split into two parts:
a clinical visit
a survey
Participants will receive $30 honoraria for the clinical visit and $40 for the survey.
The Clinic Visit
This visit will happen first at a clinical location such as the Oak Tree Clinic or St. Paul’s Hospital.
A study research staff member will review the consent form with you, take your measurements, conduct physical assessments, and ask about your medical and HIV history.
Samples like blood, urine, and optional rectal and mouth swab, will be collected.
The Survey
This part can be completed up to two weeks after the clinic visit
This survey asks questions about your health, HIV related care, experiences of stigma, substance use and physical/social wellbeing.
You can complete this survey remotely or at a community site with a research assistant.
What if I am not eligible?
There will be more opportunities to participate in the REDOSE study in the future. We will be recruiting men and women living with HIV for REDOSE 2.0. Details for recruitment can be found here.
Consent
Before participating in our study, a research staff will go over our consent forms with you and will answer any questions that you may have.
